Brand Bio – Yanina Yakusheva Perfumes
Fragrance is a silent and invisible companion that comes with us during the history of mankind. We easily spray it on ourselves: we apply one drop in the morning when we chase sleep from our eyes, or more generously in the evening to attract attention. Each fragrance in the aroma line of Yanina Yakusheva has its own story, intention of creation and expressiveness. It’s the first European olfactive brand with perfumes named after certain imaginary characters.
Yanina Yakusheva, a brand founder, used to work as a doctor and heard a lot of life stories throughout her career. Somehow those stories inspired her to dive into the perfume world back in 2015. ‘Honestly speaking, each of my fragrances is a prototype of the characters out of the stories I’ve heard. I enable my customers to experience not a single perfume but, a wide range of different components, together and each separately’ -says perfumer Yakusheva who studied scent art in Bangkok and later on continued her olfactive education in her native country- Russia. For her line, she acts both as a creative director and perfumer, which is a rare combination in the industry. ‘I work with something which is not visible, however later it turns into something holistic and captivating’, says the founder.
Her perfume masterpieces are made in the South of France, the main place to be in the world for perfumery. This very fact assures that the quality of the ingredients is superb.
‘I’ve been to Paris and walked William (the
perfume)’ this is the feedback from a friend of the brand”.
“It’s so amazing that our customers treat our perfumes as friend. This is the highest praise for my work”, says Yanina Yakusheva. Fragrance line will be continued and improved, so you can follow the lives of favorite ones on the brand social media.
Moreover, Yakusheva is very involved into cross-sectoral activities: she has developed several artistic projects incorporating perfumery. Among them a scent for a theatre play based on its plot. It had to enhance the perception of drama for the audience. She also made a perfume dedicated to the first olfactive eхperience of a human being – for a sculpture in a form of a breast in Dubai at The Scent expo in 2018. Yanina Yakusheva also launched her personal exhibition in Paris in 2019. All of the scents were inspired by the idols of the past: Marylin Monroe, Alexander McQueen, Lenin and Rudolf Nureyev.
